Last Campaign Lesson (:

Well today has been interesting. Very stressfull and not fun at all. It started off in a panic because Kara couldn't remember what number computer she was working on last week and this was really important because it had all of our final design work on it and that was all we would have to show for all the weeks of our hard work. Kara said she had looked through all the laptops but i decided to look again i turnded two on and found it straight away so we where saved. We spent most the morning saving all our work onto the memory stick and making sure that we had everything we needed. After break we where sorting our our folders untill 10 minutes before lunch and then we relised that we hadnt writen a script for the presentation that we where going to show to chris. I then started to panic and me and jess tryed to write one up quickly. After lunch we still needed to finish off our script we where just about to print it because chris had came in but then the computer froze. Luckly we where showing ours second so we thought this would give us a little bit more time to try and get the computer to un-freeze so we could quickly print it off. Unfortunatly this didnt work and just as it was our turn to show we relized we hadnt printed out our final design aswell. We had to impervise and we didnt have anything to show him. This was a disaster and if we had a chance to do it again we would be alot more orginized and would of done better. Chris's feed back was obviously going to be bad because we had nothing to show and it was our fault and i felt really disapointed we where able to show him a copy of our final design but it was on the computer not printed out and this was right at the end when he was leaving so we didnt get any feed back. I dont think i have done well in this project and im very dissapointed in myself.

eleventh campaign unit

This week we had alot of catching up to do we needed to do our presentation and our final design. We decided that jess would do the presentation and me and kara would do the final design. This was really hard for me because im not very good at using photoshop so i got alot of help. Kara didn't really no how to use it aswell so we got stuck quite alot. I fished the middle by myself and Kara helped me with the front of the flyer and then after lunch i was on my own again because Kara went home. I made the back page atleast 4 times because the laptop kept messing up and when i tryed to put a map in it deleted what i had already done. In the last lesson me and jess where planing what we where going to say to go along with our presination when we show chris but we didnt get very far with that so we will hopeful sort that out in the time we have in the morning to try and do that and then print off our design. I also need to edit on a straw to the design to make it cup shape.

tenth Campaign lesson

Today i was on my own again becasue Kara and Jesscia wasnt here so I was doing folder work and improving my work becasue i didnt want to do any team stuff on my own incase i did it wrong or they didn't like it.
I spent most of the day doing my research report. Even though i only had the last bullet point to do it took me so long and i still havent finished im going to finish it over the easter. It was really hard but i started off by watching alot of differnet adverts for McDonals for all the different years. This was interesting because I didn't know that there where adverts for all the way back in the 1960's. The adverts have changed alot since then because they where alot longer they used to be from a minute all the way up to a minute and a half. Now adverts are only about 30 seconds long.
Over the easter I will finish my research report and get it printed out and into my folder.
After easter we need to do our final design on photo shop and get it printed out because we are very far behind and have alot of catching up to do.

nineth campaign lesson (:

This lesson I spent the whole lesson catching up on my folder and making sure i had everything.
This was really hard because it was all mixed together and nothing was in order. I also didnt have enough plastic wallets to sepperate them all so its still really messy.
I managed to type up some of the notes that i had in rough and improve my research report by loads. Im now quite confident that it is on the way to atleast a C/B because i saw where it needed more detail and what i had left out.
Next lesson i will get the rest of my folder done by sticking in all the pictures that we took in shakin moo's.

eighth campaign lesson. (:

today we where told that we where going to go to shaking moo's to take pictures for our campaign. This was hard for us because we hadn't chose what our final design was and we dont really need pictures anyway. When we got there me and jessica had the cameras so it was talking our own pictures. I didn't no what to take a picture of at first but then I remembered that we had to have the camerflage patteren so I took some pictures of that. I acidently tripped and as I was falling I took a picture of the stools and peoples legs sitting on the stalls and it looked really good.

We are going to edit some of the photos to stick into our folder and I also sugested that we make a slide show of our pitures to go on the tv in shakin'moo's

seventh campaign lesson

Today it was just me and Kara. Up untill break we where just catching up with our bloggs if we hadn't done it and improving it if we had done it.
After break we had some work to do and we worked on what our market research questions these are...
1.do you like milkshakes?
2.what flavours do you like?
3.have you hear of shakin'moo's?
4.where do you go for a milkshake?
5.how much would you pay for one?
6.would you recommend it to a friend?
7.do you go with your friends?
8.how often do you have a milkshake?
9.would you st down and have a milkshake?
10.have you had a hot shake?
I suggested that we take some each and get people at school to do it during the week then we can look at them the next week. I also thought that we could get our family to do it aswell and maybe ask some random people in town to do it too.
After lunch i was on my own because kara went to the dentist. I decided not to do the work that you where ment to decide as a group so i was finding some pictures of milkshakes and about shakin'moo's. After a while that was boring so i started to draw out one of our final 4 on paint and then copyed it onto word and put arrows around it to show what was going to be there and what colours.
Next week we are at parkside and taking some photo's.

sixth campaign lesson

today we where making copy's of our 4 final deigns there where ment to be only 3 but we couldnt pick so we left it four and in our questionaire the one people dont like the most we will get rid of.
I made copys of the splodge shaped one and the cup shaped one and jessica did the triangle one because it was complicated and the rectangle one. We decided to do the same writing in all of them but we improved as we went along and made them better. Our final ones are going to be printed on pink,blue or purple card\paper because they go with the colours of shakin moo's. This took us all the way up till lunch and then we quickly made our questionaire then went back to making copy's. We decided to question poeple in our cram class and i suggested going up to the other group to see if the would do it aswell.
I dont no what we will be doing next week.

fith campaign lesson

today we where working in groups in the morning and we where doing our designs.
I was quite proud with what i did my idea started of by me just folding up a piece of paper because i didn't have a idea yet and then i cut it and looked a interesting shape so i turned it into a flyer and then decided to have mr moo on the flap that wasn't being used. Jessica went in the middle so it was just me and kara. We got stuck on what to do because Jessica was usally the one to come up with the ideas so me and kara decided to try and come up with more simple ideas that we could combine with the trickyer ones to make a really good one. I did one in the shape of a arrow and then it had writing on both sides saying want a hot shake? on one side and the other side try shaking moo's hot shakes! on the other but we decided this was a bit too simple and a bit of a weird shape and had no information where it was what flavours they had what exactly it was so we didnt go with that one for our final 3. Kara worked on copying out one of the designs while i was makeing new ones. I also made a small rectangle one but it still didnt have enough information on but then we thought we could put writing on the other side.
Next week we are going to work on gettin our getting our final 3 and then doing a questionair to people to find out what there favourate ones are. (:

Shakin moo

this week we where at parkside and we where going to get our brief from chris lane (owner of shakin moo).
Up untill break we where planning out what questions we where going to ask and what the main infomation was that we needed from him.
The most important things we needed to find out was what the product is (milkshake) their compition how its made and ingredients the customer profile the location and the current promtions and exactly what it is that he wants us to do.
i learnt that the location doesnt look like it is in a good place because you cant really see it and there isnt really a flow of people going through so the advertising needs to be strong. i also found out that the customers that they go for are people our age because there is the university and other colleges around so it bings in them people and little kids like to go in aswell. its not just a milkshake place where you get your shake and go like shakeaway(compitition) but its more a meet up point come in get a milkshake sit down relax with your mates or if your shopping a nice place to come in sit down and stop for a while. Also Primark has been a big help on his buisness because of all the people shopping there.
Our brief was to make a graffical wrapper for the chocolate brownie that he has because the wrapper on it wouldnt really attract people to get it or to make flyers posters any way of advertising to help sell hot shakes in the winter.
After lunch we where back at parkside and typing up on the computers what our brief was and then we where put into teams and had a team meeting about what one of the brief we where going to go and how we where going to do it. Im in a group with jess and kara and we have chosen to do the hot shakes advertising. Then we typed up and printed off our brief and team meeting for our folders.

Third Performance Lesson :)

Today in Cram we started by making a plan of what to ask Chris Lane (Owner of Shakin'Moo) and then after break we went to Shakin'Moo to find out what the product is but thats obvious its Milkshake and about the location and why its good there and what kind of customers they try to get into the shop what the current permotions are and if there are any comptitions on at the moment. We also had to get our breif from him and we have the choice of two. To design packaging for chocolate fudge brownie from tesco or to make a leaflet/poster for hot shakes in the winter. Our group (me, Jessica and Kara) decided to do the leaflet/poster because we thought everyone else would choose to do the packaging.

I suggested that we stay with the camaflage pattern and have a picture of Mr Moo on it some where. We also found out that we need to have a map on it some where but the main thing is to advertise the hot shakes and other hot drinks. I think it is also important that we say they can stay and sit down to have a shake so they can relax for a bit and have there shake

second campaign lesson

Today we started by talking about what we need to include to our campaign research report. We spent the first 3 lessons today doing our research report untill lunch.

After lunch we where put into groups of 3 and we went out with a camera and a object to take pictures of it in as many ways as we could. I was in a group with petra and james we had a orange lamp to work with. At first it wasnt going very well because petra was getting distracted by people so me and james started taking photos without her. We first put it into a bush and took a couple of shots of the lamp but it didnt look too good. James said about going to the shed but it wasn't there so we used the big green thing that was there instead and tryed to hang it upside down off the thing.

I took the first picture when james was still trying to put it up but the lighting wasn't right so it looked a bit odd it wasn't untill the next picture that we finaly had a good one.

then we took one on top of the wall i took the fist one and said it looked a bit like a cat.

First lesson (:

We started by thinking that we had just come home and there was water comming through the celling and we had to look in the yellow pages to see if we could find a plumber and what one would it be and why when we picked it fast. We talked about what you look for in the advert and we found out the main things are colours pictures and if it has 24 hour and speed on it. Then we had a go at designing our own but it was only rough.
After break we look at some adverts for cleaning places the junction and the clothes show. You can tell by the different colours pictures and information for what audience it is for. We designed another 4 leaflets and then combined the 4 into 1 for our final one and swapped them with other people to find out there opinions. Me and jessica worked in a pair and put our 2 ideas together. On paper it looked complicated because of all the lables and writing but when we eddited it onto the computer it wasn't as crowded and we choose bright colours so it would catch peoples attention.
